A continuation of an art series exploring painting and the environment with member and art therapist Aiyana Schwarz.

In this evening Hokusai workshop you’ll relax with a glass of wine, have a laugh and learn the basic skills of painting using nature and our planet as inspiration.

Painting is an expressive art form, proven to improve creativity, emotional growth, critical thinking and reduces stress. 

No experience necessary.   Registration early is required.

Aiyana has over 20 years experience as an art teacher; is currently teaching art to children and adults with disabilities, both in person and online via zoom. She is tertiary qualified and holds a Bachelor in Visual Arts. She is a also a qualified and experienced art therapist. 

Her love of nature and living sustainably is demonstrated in her professional work, the amazing underground home her family is building in the village, and by winning second place in The Sustainable Waste to Art Prize. 

She is really excited to bring her knowledge and experience to art workshops at Narara Ecovillage.

Hokusai's paintings expressed the movement in nature, the fleeting moments of a bird in flight or a wave crashing and waterfalls flowing.  He is regarded as one of Japan's most famous artists and influenced many European artists.   

Included: all painting materials provided (paints and canvas), and complimentary glass of wine. Guidance from experienced and tertiary qualified art teacher Aiyana Schwarz.
